Parker Pearce Service Experts in Gaithersburg always writes about how our team of experts are NATE-certified, and while it sounds comforting, what does it actually mean?
NATE stands for North American Technician Excellence and, according to their website, is the nation’s largest certification organization for HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) and refrigeration technicians. The organization is owned, operated, developed, and supported by the entire HVAC and refrigeration industry but not all technicians in the industry are required to be certified through NATE. The certification is optional and technicians can work in the heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration industry without being NATE-certified.
It’s important to Parker Pearce Service Experts that our experts are NATE-certified to ensure we are sending the most qualified and trained technicians into your home. To make sure technicians meet these benchmarks, the NATE-certification exams validate real-world working knowledge of HVACR systems for technicians. The exams are knowledge-based assessments that assess the technician’s knowledge of these criteria.
Since Parker Pearce Service Experts focuses on the HVAC side of NATE-certification and not refrigeration, there are only certain areas applicable to our technicians. NATE exam candidates may obtain installation and/or service certification in one or more of the talent areas listed below:
- Air Conditioning
- Air Distribution
